Renovations to Hutto Memorial Stadium are on schedule to be complete by mid-October, according to a presentation by Mark Willoughby, Hutto ISD's director of facilities planning and capital improvements.
The district will hold a ribbon cutting at the renovated stadium on Oct. 15, then Hutto High School will play its homecoming game against Stony Point High School at the upgraded facility.
Renovations at HMS include expanded seating, additional restrooms and concessions and the construction of a multilevel press box. The improvements are intended to accommodate HISD's growing enrollment and eventually serve the district's new Ninth Grade Center when it becomes Hutto's second high school.
"It's easy to see progress on the facility," Willoughby said. "Every day we get to see a little bit more."
