The family owned self-storage business, Shurlock Storage, recently opened a new site for storing RV, boats and trailers in Hutto. The site includes a 160-square-foot shipping container for rent. The company also has a Pflugerville location at 805 E. Pflugerville Parkway.

A new University Federal Credit Union opened its doors in Pflugerville and will celebrate with a ribbon cutting event Nov. 21. The bank has private consultation areas for personal financial assistance, self-service amenities including a 24/7 drive-thru and walk-up ATMs, and a coin-counting machine. Margot Harmatuk, a leader with UFCU for 12 years, manages the UFCU branch.

Old Gregg Brewing Company at Howard Post is now open, bringing in-house beers, root beers, hard seltzers and cocktails. The new Pflugerville neighborhood brewpub also offers artisanal pizza and tacos from Michelin-starred chef John Bates. Head brewers and partners Kirby Kirkconnell and Matt Couch lead the newest Pflugerville brewery.

Pflugerville’s third H-E-B grocery store is now open.

The first Pickleball Kingdom location in Central Texas is now open in Pflugerville with three full-sized courts and one half court. The local franchise, owned by Jared and Pam Jolly, celebrated its grand opening on Oct. 12 and 13 with free pickleball clinics, merch giveaways and tours of the building. The business offers a membership program with perks, as well as a one-hour, free pickleball instructive class. The business' Building E is open to the public for open play, court reservations and events. Building I is planned to open in February 2025 and will have eight full-sized courts and a 2,200-square-foot mezzanine for spectators.
