Gilbert, an interventional cardiologist, works to educate patients and keep local hearts healthy.

“The predominance of my practice is general cardiology. I see probably 80-90% of my patients in the office. ... I find that patients do better in the long haul if they're knowledgeable about their cardiovascular illness,” Gilbert said in an interview for the practice.

A testament to the experience and skill of the clinic's staff, Gilbert played a pivotal role in saving a woman's life after her heart stopped during the delivery of her twins last December.
