A new Hobby Lobby store is under construction next to Pflugerville's Stone Hill Town Center.
Representatives from developer Identity Capital and the Pflugerville Chamber of Commerce held a groundbreaking ceremony for the store March 7.
The 55,000-square-foot arts and crafts store will be located on Terrell Lane, just behind Home Depot.
Identity Capital representative Pat Sauer said the volume of other retail businesses nearby made the site an attractive one for Hobby Lobby.
“Primarily, it's the retail synergy at this location,” Sauer said. “You've got this huge Stone Hill center right here [and] easy access off SH 130.”
According to Sauer, construction on the store will likely wrap up late this year, but it might not open until early 2024.
