Upcoming projects
Lakeline Boulevard shared-use path
Project: A 10-foot paved shared-use path is planned along Lakeline Boulevard in Cedar Park between New Hope Drive and Little Elm Trail to improve pedestrian and bicycle connectivity.
Update: According to city officials, design is 90% complete. Plans have been revised to modify an existing roadway bridge rather than construct a new pedestrian bridge, with final design and permitting ongoing.
Project: A 2.91-mile stretch of SE Inner Loop in Georgetown will be widened to a four-lane, divided road from Hwy. 29 to FM 1460. A shared-use path for pedestrians and bicycles will be added on one side.
Update: Per officials, the city is in the process of acquiring the right of way needed for the project. Design is complete, and officials anticipate it to go out to bid in July.
Ongoing projects
Project: Helios Way in Pflugerville is being extended to improve access to the SH 130 frontage road and support industrial development.
Update: According to city officials, construction is underway on the new Helios Way right-in and right-out driveway.
Loop 360 at Courtyard Drive/RM 2222
Project: The project is part of the TxDOT's slate of projects along 14 miles of Loop 360 in West Austin, and is part of the Texas Clear Lanes congestion relief initiative. This segment will remove the traffic signal from the Loop 360 main lanes at Courtyard Drive and construct an overpass, reconfigure RM 2222 at Loop 360 to a diverging diamond interchange, and add shared-use paths and sidewalks.
Update: According to TxDOT officials, crews broke ground on the project April 29.
Completed projects
Innovation Boulevard/Limmer Loop
Project: Construction crews installed a new signal at the intersection in Hutto, converting it from a two-way stop into a new four-lane signal stop intersection.
Update: According to city officials, crews activated the traffic signal April 7.
Project: The project widened Sam Bass Road in Round Rock to enhance mobility and safety to meet current and future needs of drivers in the area. Reconstructing the road as a three-lane arterial with a dedicated center turn lane and shoulders also made way for a sidewalk to connect cyclists and pedestrians in the area.
Update: Round Rock and Williamson County officials held a ribbon-cutting April 24.
