The details
The project is part of AISD’s 2022 approved bond which proposed school renovations across the Austin Independent School District.
Renovations include adding a secure entry vestibule, HVAC, electrical and plumbing improvements, and athletic upgrades including a turf competition field and renovations to the gyms and locker rooms.
About the project
Michael Mann, AISD’s executive director of construction management, said the renovations are expected to be completed in January 2027. Mann said students can expect some campus areas to be fenced off for construction or to experience changes in school entrances temporarily.
“We appreciate the community’s support while we go through the construction because it is disruptive to everybody,” Mann said.
