Thousands of music lovers will flock to Austin’s Zilker Park for the iconic Austin City Limits Music Festival, held over two weekends, Oct. 3-5 and Oct. 10-12. Multiple stages will feature a wide mix of artists across genres. For the full schedule and set times, visit ACL’s official website.

Here’s what you need to know

Zilker Park is closed to public access Sept. 22 to Oct. 19, with roads impacted surrounding the area.

For those driving in the area or to the event, the city’s transportation and public works department has an interactive street closure map to view road closure and lane reduction schedules.

Closures

Lane closures are expected along:
  • Stratford Drive
  • Barton Springs Road (Sterzing Street to Lamar Boulevard)
  • Jessie Street
  • Azie Morton Road
  • Stephen F. Austin Drive
  • Veterans Drive
  • Rollingwood Drive
  • Eastbound Bee Cave Road


There will be shuttle access only along eastbound Electric Drive, Walter Seaholm Drive and northbound MoPac access road.

Additional limited access includes:
  • Sterzing Street
  • Toomey Street (Sterzing to Jessie)
  • Westbound Butler Road and Toomey Street (Lamar Boulevard to Jessie Street)
Zilker Park access and parking changes


Expect heavy congestion near the MoPac parking lot from Sept. 15-Oct. 1 and Oct. 6-9. Lots will be closed on festival weekends.

The transportation and public works department reminds cyclists to expect dense pedestrian traffic, and urges those riding to practice proper bike etiquette and give ample distance.
