The impact of Hurricane Harvey is far from over, and in the meantime, Round Rock area businesses and organizations are doing their part to support relief efforts. Here are 11 area groups that need support in their efforts: 1. The Round Rock Police Officer's Association is collecting supplies to be delivered on Thursday morning to Fayette County public safety personnel. Officers are accepting donations in front of the police department, located at 2701 N. Mays St., Round Rock, from 7 a.m. until midnight Wednesday. The association is looking for donations of baby wipes, beef jerky, bug spray, hand sanitizer, Gatorade, fruit bars, protein bars, Motrin, prepackaged protein drinks, individual non-perishable snacks, sunscreen, t-shirts, new socks and new undergarments. The association is not accepting any perishable or homemade goods. 2. Keller Williams is accepting donations until Friday morning to take to areas affected by Hurricane Harvey. Donations are being accepted at 2300 Greenhill Drive, Round Rock. Keller Williams is asking for donations of generators, wheelbarrows, trash bags, gloves (both work and latex), face masks, brooms, paper towels, toilet paper, mops, Windex, water testing kits, pet food, rubber boots, first aid kits, bleach, batteries of all sizes, blankets, soap and shampoo, bug spray, toothbrushes and toothpaste, bottled water and socks and underwear. Call 512-255-5050 for more information. 3. Dell team member donations will be matched up to $10,000. The company set up a dedicated relief page on its internal Legacy of Good Community where team members can directly give to the Hurricane Harvey relief effort. In addition, Dell has contributed $500,000 to support storm relief efforts between American Red Cross and Team Rubicon. 4. AGE of Central Texas is offering free services and resources for senior adults and caregivers who have been displaced because of the hurricane and flooding. The organization has free medical equipment including walkers, wheelchairs, canes and crutches. For more information, call 512-600-9275 or visit their website. 5. The Salvation Army has mobilized its mobile kitchens from around the state and country to serve those affected by Hurricane Harvey. Make a donation to The Salvation Army here and note that money should be directed to storm relief efforts. 6. Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is taking in animals from shelters along the gulf coast. The shelter has already taken in several dogs and cats and plans to take in additional animals from the Lake Jackson area. The shelter is accepting donations to take to Brazoria County SPCA shelter in Lake Jackson including food, blankets and towels. The shelter has said its most immediate need is small, hard case plastic pet carriers. Donations will be needed by Wednesday afternoon. 7. In addition, the Williamson County Sheriff's Office dispatched two boat crews to Houston for swift water rescue. The crews have helped with 35 evacuations and a third crew will travel to Houston Wednesday morning to relieve the first crew. 8. Williamson County Mobile Outreach Team and EMS and the Williamson County and Cities Health District sent teams to do medical and functional needs assessments for those in evacuation shelters in Austin. The 10-person crew has been working to assist with specific medical needs and non-medical assistive care. 9. Round Rock Fire Department sent four firefighters with a reserve engine to areas affected by the hurricane. The crew will be deployed for 10 days and then be relieved by another crew. The city of Round Rock also has a rescue boat team ready to deploy. 10. United Way of Williamson County is collecting donations to send to those affected by Hurricane Harvey.
