1. Colorado Street reconstruction
Various improvements are being made between Seventh and 10th streets to the storm drainage system, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, ramps, and water and wastewater lines. Roadway excavation work is being done through the end of February to the west side of Colorado between Seventh and Eighth Street, at which point the city’s contractor will shift efforts to the east side of Colorado, which will be reduced to one southbound lane between Seventh and Eighth streets during that time.

2. East Fifth Street chilled water pipeline extension
Construction is nearly complete on a 1,000-linear-foot chilled water supply pipeline between San Jacinto Boulevard and Red River Street. Affected travel lanes will reopen to traffic by March 6. The lane closest to the The Westin Austin Downtown will remain a valet zone; however, the adjacent lane—currently off-limits to traffic denoted by painted hash marks—will be reopened to maintain three travel lanes through the east-west corridor.
