2. I-35 and Oltorf Street intersection improvements

The I-35 frontage road from Woodland Avenue to Woodward Street will be reconstructed to improve the Oltorf Street bridge and entrance/exit ramps as well as add north- and southbound U-turns.

Timeline: Bidding begins summer 2016
Cost: $54.51 million
Funding sources: TxDOT, CAMPO, city of Austin

3. Guadalupe and West Third Street intersection partial closure

The north-south arterial has been reduced to two lanes between West Second and West Fourth streets to allow reconstruction along West Third Street to be completed. Originally anticipated to last three months, construction was reduced one month by shutting down the entire Third Street block west of the Guadalupe Street intersection. In the meantime, westbound traffic should use West Second Street as an alternate route. However, eastbound traffic on West Third Street reopened Dec. 6. A queue-jump signal was also installed.
