Frisco's version of a citywide "night out," Frisco CAN (Community Awareness Night), is May 17.

From 4–8 p.m., blocks around the city are hosting parties, giving residents a chance to meet their neighbors, enjoy time outside and make the neighborhood a little safer.

Frisco police officers will stop by many of the parties to offer safety tips.

Party organizers can register their Frisco CAN block party on the Frisco Police Department page of the city website,

Frisco Neighborhood Watch is encouraging party organizers to sponsor a food drive to benefit Frisco Family Services.
