Todd Dodge, head football coach at Marble Falls High School, was named Eanes ISD Athletic Director and Westlake High School head football coach on May 2, said EISD Superintendent Dr. Nola Wellman in a news release.

EISD board of trustees accepted the resignation of former Chaparrals head football coach Darren Allman April 30. On the same day, he began his new position as head football coach and boys athletic coordinator for Grapevine-Colleyville's Heritage High School, said Megan Overman, Director of Communications for Grapevine-Colleyville ISD.

"Coach Dodge brings a wealth of achievements to a well-established and historically successful program," said Dr. Wellman in the release. "As a coach and leader, he exemplifies the character and values that are consistent with those of Westlake High School."

Dodge has almost 30 years of coaching experience including serving as head football coach at Southlake Carroll High School in the Dallas–Ft. Worth area, the release said. He has also held coaching positions at the University of Pittsburgh and the University of North Texas. While attending college, he was a three-year starting quarterback for The University of Texas.

Dodge is scheduled to meet the Westlake High School football team members on May 2 and officially start his new position with the district on May 5, the release said.
