The Remedy Bar & Lounge, a new establishment specializing in house-made infusion cocktails, opened Oct. 11 at the former War Horse location.
The new lounge, opened by owner Claire Bensimon at 209B W. Fifth St., also offers Texas-made liquors and draft beers and includes special design features such as a custom, copper bar top and reclaimed wood from the Wild Turkey distillery in Kentucky, among other unique concepts.
Specialty cocktails include jalepeno strawberry tequilla, lemon ginger vodka, mixed berry vodka and apple cinnamon whiskey. Remedy also offers daily drink specials and weekday happy hour.
The project is Bensimon's first as owner after years of managing downtown establishments.
