On Feb. 2, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required New Braunfels Utilities to issue a boil-water notice to customers in the Riverchase Pressure Zone, near the Hunter area.
According to a press release from NBU, the public water system provided the TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate water no longer requires boiling.
“The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes, and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling,” NBU officials said.
Those with questions or concerns can contact Director of Water Services Mike Short at 830-608-8971 or by mail at New Braunfels Utilities, 355 FM 306, New Braunfels. NBU customers, individuals or employees who wish to contact the executive director of the TCEQ can call 512-239-4691.
