The Comal County Recycling Center ran out of mulch this week, but a contractor that grinds up brush is on site to make more, according to a press release issued by the county.

As of April 15, remote drop-off locations were shut down due to the coronavirus but the main recycling center was still operating at 281 Resource Drive, New Braunfels, and was accepting brush.

“The Recycling Center is still open as usual,” said Recycling Manager James Tart. “Although the demand for our mulch has increased since stay-at-home orders went into effect, we’re looking forward to having more available for everyone’s gardening needs later this week.”

Recycling Center drop-off fees and other policies are available online.
