During a Dec. 14 school board meeting, two new members of the New Braunfels ISD board of trustees were sworn into office. The trustees were elected by voters during the November election.

Nancy York will represent NBISD single-member District 2, taking the place of incumbent Michael Calta, and John Tucker will represent NBISD single-member District 4, taking the place of incumbent Matthew Sargent.

York worked as a high school math teacher in Texas for 40 years before becoming a board member, and Tucker has worked in school facilities and contracting departments in Dallas, Flour Bluff and Comal ISD since 1995.
