The Mercer, a 42-unit condominium community located at Freiheit Village in New Braunfels reached completion in fall.

The details

The Mercer has two buildings, each made up of three floors. The project broke ground in spring 2022 and was developed by Max Carauna, managing partner of GBMC Holdings LLC. This is the first opportunity to own and live in Freiheit Village, according to a news release.

The Mercer has 37 residential one- and two-bedroom units along with five live-work units with storefront commercial space on the ground floor.

According to a news release, The Mercer is a legacy project of the late Mike Norris.


The gated condominium also offers an assortment of amenities, including:
  • A resort-style pool
  • Outdoor kitchen
  • Dog park
  • Pet-washing station
  • Bar and lounge area
The Mercer also offers valet trash pickup.

Caruana emphasized that the city continues to be an "attractive" market for urban-style condos.
