Owner Steve McCoy decided to open Ellie Mental Health because he is passionate about mental health and destigmatizing mental health.
“We believe that everyone can benefit from therapy,” McCoy said. “I think it’s kind of a misperception, you know, people go into therapy and they have to be there their whole life, and that’s not really the case. Everybody needs help sometimes.”
The clinic offers a wide range of therapy, including couples therapy, grief therapy, trauma-informed therapy and online therapy. They currently accept Blue Essentials, Blue High Performance Network, Blue Premier HMO, BlueChoice PPO (BH), Cigna (Evernorth) and GEHA insurances.
Ellie Mental Health is open Monday through Friday 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
