In their own words

“I am looking forward to getting back to work, because we have a whole lot of things to continue to focus on for the next three years. I’m looking forward to having my entire council seated, so that we can really do the work," DeLisle told Community Impact on election night.

In the next three years, DeLisle said her focus will be on city transportation.

“I think the last three years, we’ve been heavily focused on water. We have all of the plans in place—things are under construction. It’s just a waiting game for them to be done," she said. "The next three years, we’re going to be focusing heavily on traffic.”

With both Travis and Williamson counties reporting early results, incumbent Christine DeLisle is ahead in the race.

DeLisle has received 51.96% of the vote, or 1,471 votes, leading the other four candidates:
  • Andy Hogue with 28.61% of the vote, or 810 votes
  • John David Cowman with 9.61% of the vote, or 272 votes
  • Damon Burger with 7.31% of the vote, or 207 votes

Once all votes have been totaled, if no single candidate receives more than 50% of the vote, a runoff election between the two candidates with the most votes will be held, city officials said.
