Leander community donated more than 3,000 pounds of food to local pantry The 2017 Leander Police Department’s Cans and Fans Summer Food and Fan Drive is complete, and more than 3,300 pounds of food were collected to benefit nonprofit Hill Country Community Ministries, the organization’s Executive Director Tiesa Hollaway said. Cedar Park City Council is considering regulating the operation of drones over special events Council members heard the first reading and public hearing of the proposed ordinance Thursday evening that would make it unlawful for a person to operate a drone from or over the location of a special event held within the city limits or in the city’s extraterritorial jurisdiction.
