Early voting began today, May 14, for runoff elections. In Lake Travis-Westlake, that means residents can vote in two Democratic party races.

U.S. representative, District 25


In the March 6 primary race, Chris Perri secured 37.56 percent of the Democratic primary vote to nearest challenger Julie Oliver’s 25.57 percent. The winner of the May 22 runoff will face uncontested Republican Roger Williams in November.

State representative, District 47


Democrat Vikki Goodwin secured 33.64 percent of the March 6 primary vote to best closest challenger Elaina Fowler. Fowler won 29.18 percent of the vote.

The winner will face Republican incumbent Paul D. Workman, who won 60.07 percent of the March 6 primary vote against two challengers.

Residents can visit the county website for their Travis County early voting and mobile early polling locations and hours. Polls are open through Friday, May 18, for early voting.
