Gonzalez has received 205 votes to Wilson's 189 votes. District 7 covers a broad swath of Georgetown on the east side of city limits, with an area spanning Westinghouse Road to the south up to the Crystal Knoll and Pecan Branch areas to the north. Georgetown City Council members are elected to three-year terms by voters in individual districts.
