Gonzalez holding lead in race for Georgetown City Council District 7


Tommy Gonzalez, the incumbent in the race for Georgetown City Council District 7, has received 220 votes, while challenger Jaquita Wilson has received 203.

The Williamson County Elections Department reports 19 of the county’s 21 polling locations have reported early voting and election day results, which are unofficial until canvassed.

Gonzalez, Wilson separated by 16 votes in Georgetown City Council District 7 

Incumbent Tommy Gonzalez has a small lead over Jaquita Wilson on May 4 in the race for Georgetown City Council District 7, according to the Williamson County Elections Department.

Gonzalez has received 205 votes to Wilson’s 189 votes.

District 7 covers a broad swath of Georgetown on the east side of city limits, with an area spanning Westinghouse Road to the south up to the Crystal Knoll and Pecan Branch areas to the north.

Georgetown City Council members are elected to three-year terms by voters in individual districts.
