After a winter storm warning went into affect for Williamson County for Jan. 30-Feb. 1, officials announced county offices will be closed Jan. 31 due to severe weather conditions.

In addition to office closures, the Commissioners Court meeting for Jan. 31 has been postponed to Feb. 2 at 9 a.m. The county will announce an update Jan. 31 regarding any other closures or cancellations. According to a news release, the county is encouraging residents to prepare for freezing temperatures and icy road conditions. Officials recommend residents dress in layers, bring pets inside, insulate and cover exposed pipes, leave one faucet dripping and cover plants.
