Wag Heaven, the pet supply shop and self-serve dog wash in Georgetown, is inviting the public to bring their dog for a wash and meet the Easter Bunny on March 26, with the proceeds going to the Ride On Center for Kids.

The event will be held from noon-4 p.m. at Wag Heaven’s location at 3010 Williams Drive, Ste. 115, Georgetown. For $40, pet owners can get their dog cleaned up to take a photo with the Easter Bunny and also receive a voucher for a free self-service dog wash. Attendees can also spend $20 for a wash or photo only.

ROCK is a nonprofit organization serving Central Texas, providing children, adults and veterans with equine-assisted therapies. The group offers a variety of services, including physical therapy, speech therapy, therapeutic horsemanship and learning programs to help individuals improve their physical, cognitive and emotional well-being.

Tina Clary, ROCK marketing manager, said fundraisers like this are a good way for the organization to share its message with the community, while the dollars it receives could go to a variety of expenses.

“It will go into our general fund, which can cover anything from horse care, to financial assistance for our riders, to facility upkeep,” she said. “The need, unfortunately, is endless.”
