The city of Georgetown is hosting a workshop on how to maintain a healthy yard July 1 at the Friends Room at the Georgetown Public Library, according to a June 24 news release.
The free workshop will take place from 1:30-3:45 p.m. and cover topics such as composting, native plants, alternatives to pesticides and commercial fertilizers, reducing pests and weeds, and understanding beneficial insects.
Drinks and refreshments will be offered, and door prizes and drawings will be included.
