Southwestern University hosts Sunset Movie SeriesThe City of Georgetown Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with Southwestern University, presents “E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial."
Moviegoers are welcome to bring blankets, chairs and picnics. The observatory will remain open during the movie, and attendees are welcome to view the sky through the telescopes.

The event is intended to increase public awareness about topics such as drowning prevention and water rescue skills and includes games and prize giveaways.

American Heart Association CPR Classes for Healthcare Providers
Williamson County EMS is offering the American Heart Association BLS Provider class directed to those currently working in or those that wish to work in the healthcare profession. This is an instructor led class that incorporates a video directed approach to teaching. The participants will learn how to perform CPR on adult, child and infant patients. Management of choking patients also will be covered. After successful completion of the written and skills testing, the participants will receive a course completion card from the American Heart Association.
