Voters throughout Texas, including those in Georgetown, will head to the polls Nov. 5 to cast ballots in a slate of races, ranging from president to state representatives to school board trustees, and on several local propositions.

Nearly 60% of registered voters in Williamson County have voted early.

Here's a quick guide to voting on Election Day.

1. When to vote

Polls are open on Election Day from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. statewide. According to the Texas secretary of state, voters who are in line at 7 p.m. are entitled to cast their ballot.


Nov. 5 is also the last day for ballots by mail to be received, although they will also be accepted Nov. 6 if the carrier envelope is postmarked by 7 p.m. at the location of the election on Election Day.

2. Where to vote

Voters in Williamson County can cast a ballot at any polling location in the county.
