Georgetown ISD announced late Nov. 11 it will operate on a two-hour delay tomorrow on Nov. 12 due to potential inclement weather.

Parents and staff should plan to report two hours later than their usual start time, according to a release. For more information on usual start times, visit the district website at www.georgetownisd.org/schoolhours.

"We have been in contact throughout the evening with the National Weather Service, area service providers and county officials, monitoring the weather," said Superintendent Fred Brent in the release. "The forecast predicts that icing could occur between 3 and 6 a.m. that would impact bridges and overpasses. In the interest of safety, we are calling for a two-hour delay to tomorrow's start of the school day."
