Downtown location to reopen in February

Renovations continue on the downtown location of Truluck's, a seafood, steak and crab house in the Warehouse District.

A $3.5 million overhaul on the site started in mid-July and will be done by late February, General Manager Riley Hutton said. The restaurant is adding 4,500 square feet of space, allowing for more bar room and two private dining areas, and the main dining area will be moved to the new second story.

"Once this place opens back up, it will be the premium restaurant in town," Hutton said. "The location, the view and the sense of arrival with the grand staircase all add to the experience."

Hutton and other staff moved to the Arboretum location during construction. Approximately two-thirds of the original 60-person staff will return once the downtown Truluck's reopens, he said.

"We will finally have a building that matches the experience that comes with dining here," Hutton said.
