WHAT WE REPORTED Fairmont Austin was topped out in November and will be the largest hotel in the city when it opens, according to the developers.

THE LATEST The $370 million, 1.4 million-square-foot hotel will open in August. With the building topped out, crews have begun final work on the exterior of the hotel.

WHAT'S NEXT A direct connection to the hotel from the Austin Convention Center will be known as the Red River Street Canopy Walk. Both facilities are expected to open in August
