The location at 1700 S. Lamar Blvd., Ste. 338, was chosen in hopes of fibercove becoming one of the first spots in Austin to have Google Fiber installed. Before Google Fiber does become active in Austin, fibercove will provide high functioning technology and productive atmosphere. Full time memberships and day passes are available as well as meeting rooms by the hour or half day. An event space able to seat 50 to 75 people is available to reserve at fibercove. A full kitchen for catering including a cafe and bar is also available. Other impacts:  COMING SOON—Exactly one year after opening its first Austin location near The University of Texas campus, Snarf’s Sandwiches announced it will open a second location at 1400 S. First St. The Colorado-based eatery will open this fall providing oven-toasted sandwiches, specialty sandwiches, gluten-free items, salads and soups. COMING SOON—Southern-style cuisine will be served up at Stella San Jac beginning July 16. The restaurant at 310 E. Fifth St. will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner all week on the ground floor of The Westin Austin Downtown hotel. Handcrafted cocktails, local craft beers and wine will be available as well as weekly live music. COMING SOON—The second Texas location of Eureka will open June 25 at 200 E. Sixth St. The restaurant serves American classics with a menu that features burgers, tacos, salads and a variety of desserts. COMING SOON—New Italian restaurant Juliet will open July 1 at 1500 Barton Springs Road. Juliet will be led by chef Jacob Weaver, who most recently worked with ASTI Trattoria in Hyde Park. The menu will include wood-fired pizza, pasta, seafood, steak and a rotating selection of daily specials. ANNIVERSARIES—Capital Metro will celebrate 30 years of service after forming July 1985. Since conception, the public transit agency has provided over 837 million rides to Central Texans. CapMetro plans increase capacity and frequency of MetroRail rides and increase frequency of various bus routes. IN THE NEWS—The owners of Ramen Tatsu-Ya will take over Restaurant Congress for one night only at 7 p.m. June 30 offering a five-course Japanese soul food meal.
