A new chocolate maker has come to town.
Chocolaterie Tessa, 7425 Burnet Road, opened Oct. 23 with owner Tessa Halstead tasked with crafting chocolate treats for the shop.
Halstead is hosting a grand opening for the shop Nov. 5 where free samples will be available. A champagne toast will christen the business from 6 to 8 p.m. that evening.

NOW OPEN—Integrative vet practice Corner Vet, 2400 E. Cesar Chavez St., Ste. 100, opened Oct. 13. The veterinary offices uses both Western and Eastern medicinal practices to best serve its animal clients.
COMING SOON—Adult Day Care Center of Texas, 4605 N. I-35, will open Nov. 4. The facility hosts its hard-hat opening Oct. 29 so those interested may visit, tour the facility and learn more about the services provided by the senior day care business. The center will focus on those with Alzheimer's and dementia and offer stimulating activities every day.
IN THE NEWS—HOAR Construction, 8000 Centre Park Drive, raised $14,000 throughout September to cover the cost of families staying at the Ronald McDonald House. The company will continue its partnership with Ronald McDonald House by cooking for the families the last Friday of each month.
