Roppolo's Pizzeria has expanded its operation at 316 E. Sixth St. to include DaVinci's Wine Bar in the back of the restaurant.

The new concept had a soft opening in mid-January, with plans to hold a grand opening celebration from 7–10 p.m. Feb. 15.

EXPANSIONS—Kirby Schimmels joined Charlie's Hair Styles, a classic barber stand at 714 Brazos St., in January. Schimmels came to Austin in early 2013 to help open and manage Finley's Barber Shop, and prior to that he operated Kirby's Memorial Barbershop in Houston from 2009–12. He joins Charlie Hall, who has operated Charlie's Hair Styles for 50 years, spending most of that time in the same location.
