Crave, 340 E. Second St., will make its Texas debut Feb. 10 when the restaurant opens its ninth location in downtown Austin.

The Minneapolis-based fine-dining chain has a wide range of offerings, from sushi to steak. Crave CEO Kam Talebi said the menu will include dishes unique to Austin as well as many of the restaurant's signature items.

"As a company, we are very selective and methodical when it comes to choosing locations for our restaurants," Talebi said in a statement. "We are extremely excited to be in Austin and have developed an amazing menu, team and space."

Chef Frank Johnson, who previously worked at Austin-based Roaring Fork, is responsible for crafting the menu, which includes such Austin-specific items as jalapeno cornbread skillet, blackened redfish and the bourbon-glazed double pork chop.

Crave takes over an 8,500-square-foot space previously occupied by Roy's Hawaiian Fusion.
