From green spaces to new signage and more, efforts are underway to enhance and improve areas within downtown Round Rock, Pflugerville and Hutto.

In the first six months of 2019, progress has centered around mobility improvements, scenery upgrades and investments in civic buildings—the opening of a new City Hall and public library in Hutto, the purchase of land for a new public library in Round Rock and a resolution to open a new City Hall in downtown Pflugerville.

The city of Pflugerville celebrated downtown revitalization efforts with the grand opening of Main Street Plaza on June 10. The community space—a 6,500-square-foot park with a garden, interactive musical area, picnic tables and a fountain—is located between City Hall and Hanovers Draught Haus.

Round Rock’s iconic water tower is undergoing an evaluation of its structural soundness. Over the
coming months, any appropriate restorations will be made along with a fresh coat of paint and the installation of additional lighting features.

In Hutto, site work continues for Flix Brewhouse, Southside Market & Barbeque and Top Notch Burgers within the Co-Op District. Beautification efforts include the removal of electric poles along Hwy. 79 and the installation of signage on the cotton silos.
