District 10 is the wealthiest of the 10 Austin City Council districts with a median annual household income of $128,000, according to city Demographer Ryan Robinson's 10-1 demographics presentation from December.



District 10 has the second-highest number of residents who own their own home at 57 percent and the highest number of registered voters at 62 percent. The district is also considered a swing district with a nearly even split of Republican and Democrat voters.



The district has the lowest percentage of Hispanics among all 10 district at about 9 percent of its population and the highest percentage of residents who are white at nearly 80 percent.



Neighborhoods located in District 10 include Great Hills, Jester Estates, Northwest Hills, Rosedale, Spicewood and Tarrytown. Emma Long Metropolitan Park is also located in the district.
