Austin has activated its cold weather shelters Thursday night amid cold and windy conditions.

Temperatures in the Austin area are expected to fall to the low 30s with gusts of wind up to 30 mph into the morning of Feb. 17, according to the National Weather Service.

Anyone in need of overnight shelter can go to the One Texas Center at 505 Barton Springs Road for registration between 6 and 8 p.m. Capital Metro transports all registered individuals from OTC to a warming shelter.

CapMetro bus lines 1, 7, 10, 20, 30, 105, 142 and 801 will take residents to the OTC.
