All flights in and out of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport have been cancelled on Feb. 15. Parts of the airport saw more than 6 inches of snowfall overnight, according to a news release from the airport. Passengers with flights scheduled over the next 48 hours should check directly with their airlines before arriving at the airport.

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport passengers should contact their airline to find out the flight’s status before driving to the airport.

Significant delays and cancellations due to the winter weather are expected in the next 48 hours, according to airport officials through a release Feb. 14.


Road conditions worsened Sunday as ice and snow accumulated in Austin and around Texas. The winter weather has caused flight delays and cancellations at AUS and also brought other changes at the airport, including:

  • Closure of security checkpoint 1. All passengers are screened through security checkpoint 2

  • Modified access in and out of the Blue Garage

  • Several highways surrounding the airport had closures on Feb. 14. More information is available here.
