The city of Austin is reconfiguring a block of Fourth Street near Plaza Saltillo into a one-way traffic pattern.

On April 10, the city began converting Fourth Street from I-35 to San Marcos Street into a one-way heading eastbound to prevent issues between cars turning right onto the feeder and pedestrians or cyclists using the Lance Armstrong Bikeway along the north side of Fourth Street, according to a press release.

Other project highlights include improving visualization at the I-35 and Fourth Street crossing by reinforcing no on-street parking along the east side frontage road between Third Street and Fourth Street and installing a signal across the north and southbound frontage road of I-35.
