The company announced its move into 2000 E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Austin, on Oct. 14. Effective Spend purchased the building from the building's original occupant, United Way for Greater Austin in September. The United Way has not yet released plans to relocate its headquarters, but it announced a merger with United Way for Williamson County, in August.
The marketing agency said it will make some renovations to the 20,000-square-foot building, but will maintain the "You're My Butter Half" mural, which was painted by local artist John Rockwell as a gift to United Way for Greater Austin.
“In a way, it feels like a homecoming,” said Brian Wulfe, founder & CEO of Effective Spend, in a statement. “Our very first office was on East 6th street, and we’ve really missed being in this area.”
