Heart Hospital of Austin on Nov. 11 announced Megan Drake as its new chief operating officer. Drake assumed the role of COO on Nov. 11, according to a company news release.
“[Drake] brings extensive experience in operations and business development to this role,” Heart Hospital of Austin CEO David Laird said in the Nov. 21 news release.
Most recently, Drake served as COO for Shelby Baptist Medical Center, a 252-bed hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, where she oversaw several hospital operations and capital projects, according to Heart Hospital of Austin.
Previously, Drake served as western region chief business development officer for Prospect Medical Holdings in Los Angeles; as market chief strategy officer for Valley Baptist Health System in Harlingen and Brownsville, Texas; and as assistant chief executive officer and acting chief operating officer at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center.
Heart Hospital of Austin is part of the St. David’s HealthCare system and provides cardiac health-centered medical services, including rehabilitation, heart disease treatment, emergency services and more.
