Austin ISD board President Geronimo Rodriguez said the district will soon name an interim superintendent following current Superintendent Stephanie Elizalde’s resignation last month.
The board reviewed applications for interim superintendent and discussed a search timeline in executive session at a June 9 meeting, according to Rodriguez.
The next superintendent transition meeting is scheduled for June 13 at 5 p.m., according to AISD's website. The meeting will be held in the board auditorium and broadcast live. Time for the public to provide feedback on the interim superintendent search will be included. If necessary, a follow-up meeting will be held June 14.
For the most up-to-date information on the search, community members can visit the superintendent transition page on the district’s website.
