Austin ISD’s nonprofit public education foundation the Austin Ed Fund is seeking applications for this year's grant program, according to a May 17 media advisory.

The teacher grant cycle opened on May 9 and will remain open until June 24. All AISD educators and campus leaders are eligible to apply. The program supports teacher-generated projects that target learning and improve student, staff and family well-being.

Over 300 projects have been funded by the Austin Ed Fund since 2015, according to the advisory. Examples include efforts to update outdated library collections, build outdoor classroom learning kits and create hands-on STEM learning opportunities.

Up to $2,500 will be awarded for projects that help individual classrooms, and a maximum of $10,000 will go toward collaborative projects that help an entire team or campus.
