Austin ISD’s Sánchez Elementary School marked the grand opening of its modernized campus on April 22, according to a media advisory from the district.
The new campus represents a $25 million investment from the 2017 AISD bond program.
The event was marked with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, parade and tree planting in honor of Earth Day. Sánchez first opened to students at 73 San Marcos St., Austin, in August 2021.
