All Austin ISD classes will be held remotely Feb. 16 in an effort to keep students and staff safe as winter weather continues to affect the Austin area.
Snowfall late Feb. 14 into Feb. 15 combined with continued low temperatures have created icy roads and the conditions, according to the National Weather Service, will persist through Feb. 16.
AISD held classes completely virtually Feb. 12 as well, and students are off Feb. 15 for Presidents' Day. Other surrounding districts, including Pflugerville ISD and Dripping Springs ISD, have also made the announcement classes will be all virtual Feb. 16.
