Songbird is led by Chef Joshua van den Berg, who was previously behind Michelin-starred restaurant Aldea in New York and omakase restaurant Sushi Bar ATX, and also won the Food Network competition show "Chopped."
Songbird’s menu includes several chicken sandwiches, a vegetarian option, a patty melt and one with crisped bologna, dijon mustard, beer cheese, and maple syrup. Salads, bowls, loaded fries and other snacks are also available.
A Songbird rep said the food truck is casual while still using high-quality ingredients, such as the beef tallow—or rendered beef fat—that runs the fryers.
Songbird is located at 3901 Promontory Point Drive, Austin.
