The New York City bar awarded "World’s Best Bar" by Tales of the Cocktail in 2016 is making its way to Austin in spring 2023. The Dead Rabbit has a menu just for Irish cocktails, several of them coffee based, and a menu with cocktails that contain spirits and flavors from around the globe. Dead Rabbit also offers Irish grub, such as its Guinness-braised rib sliders, bangers and mash, and lamb stew.
The Dead Rabbit is led by Jack McGarry as the sole managing partner. The Dead Rabbit’s co-founder Sean Muldoon and former beverage director Jillian Vose have partnered to open a bar called Hazel and Apple in Charleston later in 2022.
Dead Rabbit will be located at 204 E. Sixth St., Austin, in the former B.D. Riley’s downtown location. B.D. Riley’s Mueller location at 1905 Aldrich St., Ste. 130, Austin, is still open. www.thedeadrabbit.com
