Upcoming upgrades to the home of UT football will make its video display the fourth-largest in the NCAA, according to a Monday news release.

Technology service provider ANC was tapped to make the improvements, which includes more than 14,000 square feet in LED video displays to The University of Texas' football stadium, known as Darrell K Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium.

“One of our top priorities is offering an exceptional fan experience at Darrell K Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium, helping to make it one of the most exciting venues in college sports,” Texas Men’s Athletics Director Mike Perrin said. “Upgrading to LED technology throughout the stadium will enhance the viewing experience for our fans.”

The main video screen at the south end zone will be about 56 feet high and 134 feet wide.

The renovation also includes new LED displays on the sideline fascia, tunnels and end zones, which will bring team graphics, real-time game updates, game prompts and sponsor content into the game day action, according to the release.

“We are proud to partner with the prestigious University of Texas to provide a premium event experience for student athletes, fans and alumni,” said Jerome Cifarelli, president and CEO of ANC. “Our technologies and game day services will help the university create the most exciting atmosphere in collegiate sports.”

As part of the project, video display upgrades will also be made to the university's new tennis facility. ANC will create content for and operate the displays during live events on campus, including all University of Texas home games.
