Central Texas Food Bank will deliver free 28-pound food boxes April 4 at Nelson Field

The Central Texas Food Bank will hold a drive-thru food distribution April 4 at Nelson Field, located at 7105 Berkman Drive, Austin, from 9 a.m.-noon.

According to a media release from the food bank, each household will be limited to one box containing 28 pounds of food, including items such as peanut butter, brown rice, fruits and vegetables.


Pickup will only be available in cars due to social distancing requirements. There will be no walk-ups allowed. Additionally, the food bank is asking families who attend to only send one representative.
