The new store will be hard to miss, representatives said, as it will be painted in Toy Joy’s signature slime green and bright pink hues adorned with the store's mascot, a cat named Otto.
The new building is 50% larger than the previous location, creating room for Toy Joy’s sister business, Yummi Joy, to move in. The store will also feature an “events loft” for Dungeons & Dragons game nights, Gundam model-building groups, birthday parties and more.
The store will sell puzzles, figurines, construction kits, sensory toys, board games and other novelties from Toy Joy along with candy, fudge, ice cream and coffee from Yummi Joy.
Toy Joy’s additional locations on West Second Street and at the airport will remain open.
